About Us

SMG Ltd was established by Shane Mc Guinness in 1995. It was setup initially as a company with the aim of carrying out electrical utilities contracting and in 1998 we expanded into construction and development. We are available to carry out all types of groundwork extensions and conversions. We are also available to quote free of charge.

We have carried out electrical installments in Northern Ireland for NIE, in Cork and Kerry for the ESB, and have carried out substantial work on Wind Farm Projects in both London and the Lake District in the United Kingdom.

We have also worked on extensive building projects in the Haggardstown and Dundalk areas of County Louth i.e. housing projects, shops, apartments and one-off houses. We have a number of extensive projects planned for the future which we would hope are as successful as our previous developments.

SMG Ltd is an official SEI contractor for the Home Energy Saving Scheme. This national scheme is open to all owners of existing houses who are interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home in order to reduce energy use and costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
